The 100 year anniversary of Lionism internationally and locally was celebrated at Government House on December 6, 2017 at High Tea, in the presence of Her Honour, Judith Guichon, Lieutenant Governor of BC, and organized by the Victoria Chinatown Lioness Club. Seven clubs were represented, all members dressed in their Club uniforms, together with guests. It was a wonderful, distinguished affair, with Her Honour and Official Guests (Al and Jane Beddows, Anne Scott, Brian Morin, Pei Mei Chia and Amanda Mills) piped in by the Her Honour’s piper. A plated tea of sandwiches/scones/smoked salmon/petit fours was served; jazz musician Louise Rose accompanied the guests with Christmas tunes and a sing-along. Many Club photos were taken with Her Honour, and dog, Olive. A fine recognition to all Lions and Lioness who serve our communities with joy, energy and dedication.
