Lion’s Club District Governor Brian Phillips will honour our June meeting when he installs the new 2016/2017/2018 Victoria Chinatown Lioness President and Executive Board.
Congratulations to our new president
Lioness Annette
“I take heart to one of the rules of life:
That the whole is always greater than the sum of it’s parts!
With teamwork and by focusing on doing what the Victoria Chinatown Lioness are best known for, providing for those in need, I know we can continue being the passionate, heart-centered club we have been for the last 25 years.
I am thankful for all the past members who have made our club what it is today and grateful for the support of our current members. I am truly honored to be the incoming President of this group of passionate women. I am committed to serving the club to the best of my abilities and I look forward to the continued support of my Lioness sisters. Together, in communication , we will continue to serve our community with pride.”
Sincerely,
Lioness Annette

Thank you Lioness Amanda
A heart-felt thanks to our outgoing President Amanda, our leader the past two years through a dynamic period of growth.
I am very proud and honoured to have served as President of the Victoria Chinatown Lioness Club for the past two years.
During this time, at our Author Banquets we have hosted, learned from and enjoyed Chinese Canadian authors Janie Chang, and Olivia Chow in 2014, and Evelyn Lau, and Paul Yee in 2015. As a part of these events we have donated books to the Victoria Public Libraries .
Our annual highlight, the Chinese New Year fundraising dinners were enhanced by presenters Daniela Cubelic in 2015, and professors Imogene Lim , and John Price in 2016. The funds from these and other events, along with the dedication and energies of our members, enabled us to successfully donate funds to our community including Angel Flights, Victoria Chinatown Care Foundation, Lion’s Club Spot Vision Screening project, and Miracle on Broad Street . We have also provided services to the local community including meals service at Mustard Seed.
We were very honored in January 2016 when awarded the District Governor’s Certificate of Appreciation “for the invaluable work the Victoria Chinatown Lioness, have done in your community, the Zone and District 19.”
I have, and continue to value our Lionesses. I am proud of our service and look forward to my continued work with this dynamic club.”
sincerely, Lioness Amanda
